This is Lewis Carroll's best-known work, written in 1865 and inserted in the nonsense literary genre. The story develops in a logic characteristic of dreams, the author having used linguistic resources and mathematical riddles as a form of satire aimed both at the people he knew and at the society of the time. It tells the story of Alice, a very curious girl who, chasing a hurried rabbit, falls into its burrow, being transported to a fantasy world, where she lives fantastic adventures.
