An unconventional, unrestrained, spanning across genres and full of humour – the Opening Gala of the 59th Golden Prague International Television Festival will be exactly the same as this year’s lead personality celebrating her recent jubilee – the singer Dagmar Pecková. She will welcome to the stage her dear singer colleagues Marie Svobodová, Richard Samko and Jiří Hájek, the night will be hosted by Libor Bouček and music performed by the Opera Orchestra of Jihočeské divadlo (South Bohemian Theatre) led by the conductor and excellent piano player David Švec. You can look forward not only to the famous arias by Mozart or Bizet but also to opera pieces and songs by Gustav Mahler or Kurt Weill. An innovative choreography will add another level of uniqueness to this evening.
