Golden Prague offers a unique opportunity for music and documentary film enthusiasts. As part of the special screenings, we will present a profile of director and producer Jan Mudra, showcasing excerpts from his music documentaries and shows created over the last several years, including collaborations with his students from the Multimedia Department of Silesian University in Opava.
You can look forward to the preview of a documentary about composer Petr Eben, which will be screened by Czech television in October 2024; a preview of a new series, Zemský ráj to na poslech, about songs and their reflection in our times, presented by lyricist and cultural anthropologist Michal Horáček; a screening of the concert Karel Růžička – Celebration Jazz Mass from the Basilica of St. Ludmila in Prague; concert footage of Nerez & Lucia a Neřež trio in Opava; footage of a concert celebrating 90 years of the Prague Philharmonic Children’s Choir from Rudolfinum in Prague, conducted by Prof. Jiří Chvála and Petr Louženský; part of a music documentary Hudební srdce Krnova about the legendary music scene in the Moravian town of Krnov; and part of a documentary about the Campanella Choir from Olomouc that recently participated in a global competition in Tokyo, Japan.
