The Awards Ceremony Gala traditionally takes place at the New Stage of the National Theatre and is broadcasted by the Czech Television. The Golden Prague International Television Festival has once again been granted the auspices by the Mayor of Prague and the Minister of Culture of the Czech Republic, the Festival also collaborates with Mrs. Dagmar Havlová and the Dagmar and Václav Havel Foundation VIZE 97 on long-term basis. 

The program of the gala evening will feature performers such as principal soloists from the National Theatre Ballet, young tenor Daniel Matoušek, a soloist from the National Theatre Opera, talented eight-year-old pianist Vivi Nguyen, and the diverse acrobatic show by the Losers Cirque Company.

The five-member jury will choose the best works from the films submitted by producers and television companies from around the whole world – not only will there be a main winner gaining the Grand Prix Award but there will be the Czech Crystal Awards across three categories. There will also be several Special Prizes awarded during the Gala: The Czech Television Award, the Award for Outstanding Artistic Achievement and the Award of the Dagmar and Václav Havel Foundation VIZE 97. A special Outstanding Achievement Award will be presented again at the Golden Prague Festival by the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) and the IMZ International Music + Media Centre
