Four days of Golden Prague have flown by. Before we say goodbye to the festival’s 63rd edition, there is still an afternoon of music, dance and film at the Municipal House. Tonight, the festival will close with an Opera Gala in Smetana Hall.
Five special screenings will take place in Sladkovský Hall from 13:00. The programme begins with Campanella: Memories of Tokyo, a documentary about the Olomouc children’s choir, followed by The Heart of Krnov’s Music Club. At 15:30 Breaking Bach brings Bach’s music together with the energy of street dance. Later, students from Prague’s Michael School take us Behind the Curtain of The Nutcracker, and the final screening portrays choirmaster Jiří Chvála and the Kühn Children’s Choir.

The grand finale begins at 20:15. Opera stars Simona Šaturová, Štěpánka Pučálková, Daniel Matoušek and Svatopluk Sem will perform at the Golden Prague Opera Gala, accompanied by the Prague Symphony Orchestra under conductor Tomáš Brauner. The programme features music by Mozart, Offenbach, Verdi, Charpentier and Bizet. You can enjoy the concert in Smetana Hall or watch it on ČT art. Last tickets are available.
