What better way to conclude several days filled with music, dance and inspiring films than with opera? The Golden Prague 2026 Closing Opera Gala will take place on Saturday, 26 September at 20:15 in the magnificent Smetana Hall of the Municipal House in Prague, and tickets are now on sale.
Audiences can look forward to an evening of celebrated operatic masterpieces, unforgettable melodies, powerful emotions and outstanding vocal performances. The programme will feature highlights from works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Giuseppe Verdi, Georges Bizet, Jacques Offenbach and Marc-Antoine Charpentier, including excerpts from The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni, Rigoletto, Carmen, The Pearl Fishers and many more.
The gala will feature acclaimed soloists Simona Šaturová, Štěpánka Pučálková, Daniel Matoušek and Svatopluk Sem, accompanied by the Prague Symphony Orchestra (FOK) under the baton of Tomáš Brauner.
As tradition dictates, Golden Prague will close in grand style with the famous Brindisi ("Libiamo") from Verdi's La Traviata - a joyful and symbolic farewell to this year's festival until we meet again next year.
