We are pleased to announce that 31 outstanding music, dance, and theater films have progressed to the second round of the 61st Golden Prague Festival competition. The Awards Ceremony Gala for this year's edition will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at the Municipal House, which has become the Festival's new home.
An esteemed five-member international jury has carefully selected 31 nominated films across three categories:
- Documentary programmes dedicated to music, dance and theatre
- Recordings of concert performance
Recordings of stage work (recordings of operas, operettas, musicals, dance, ballets, theatre performances etc.)

During the Golden Prague Festival, the jury will decide on the winners of these prestigious awards:
- GRAND PRIX GOLDEN PRAGUE – the main prize for the winning programme, accompanied by a €10,000 award
- Three CZECH CRYSTAL awards for the top programmes in each category
- SPECIAL RECOGNITION for an outstanding artistic achievement
Please note: For the second round, each juror may propose one "wild card" film that didn't make the TOP 31. The entire jury must agree to include any wild card film. Jurors are not required to use this option.
Additional awards include:
- The CZECH TELEVISION AWARD
- The DAGMAR AND VÁCLAV HAVEL FOUNDATION VIZE 97 Award, which includes a prize of 50,000 CZK
