Golden Prague Festival Opens Submissions for the New Edition

Golden Prague

Have you produced a film or television programme about music, dance, or theatre? Submit it to the next edition of the Golden Prague International Television Festival. We have just opened entries and, as every year, we look forward to discovering outstanding new productions from around the world.

For more than six decades, Zlatá Praha has been a meeting point for exceptional audiovisual works dedicated to the performing arts. We showcase documentaries, recordings of remarkable stage productions, and concerts that successfully capture the power of live performance for the television screen.

The competition programmes are divided into three categories:

Documentaries dedicated to music, dance and theatre
Portraits of artists, behind-the-scenes insights, reflections on creative processes, and documentary explorations of cultural phenomena.

Recordings of stage work
Recordings of opera, operetta, musical theatre, dance, ballet, drama, and other stage performances.

Recordings of concert performance
Recordings of symphonic and orchestral concerts, chamber music, recitals, and other musical performances.

In addition to individual programmes GP ITF also accepts individual parts of series or cycles for the competition, if it is possible to judge them on their own merit.

The festival takes place in the prestigious premises of the Municipal House in Prague and offers competition screenings, an expert industry programme, and a festive awards ceremony.

How to Submit

Entries can be submitted online via the official festival entry form. Detailed participation guidelines, technical specifications, and the submission deadline can be found in the Festival Statute on our website.

Become part of this year’s Golden Prague and present your film to an international jury and professional audience. The festival’s main award is the Grand Prix, accompanied by a financial prize of EUR 10,000.

We look forward to your films and to welcoming you to Prague once again to celebrate works that reveal the enduring power of music, dance, and theatre on screen.
