Friday at Golden Prague is for children, music lovers and everyone who enjoys dancing. At the Municipal House, you can look forward to an afternoon programme for young visitors, two film premieres and an evening that will turn Smetana Hall into a dance floor.
Golden Prague for Children begins at 16:00. Students from dance conservatories, professional dancers and young musicians will perform in Smetana Hall. Children can try dance and ballet steps themselves and meet participants from the new season of StarDance. Jan and Kamila Tománek will host the afternoon.
Two films will have their premieres in Sladkovský Hall. At 18:30, we will screen Jaroslav Krček and Musica Bohemica: The Soul Never Grows Old, a documentary about the life and work of composer, conductor and choirmaster Jaroslav Krček. At 20:00, Pyramid of Dreams: The Story of Oceán follows. Radim Špaček’s new film tells the story of a band that shaped the Czech music scene in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
From 19:00, Smetana Hall will become the Golden Prague Dance Floor. Enjoy performances by StarDance stars and dance champions, then join them on the floor for workshops. The Prague Conservatory Big Band will provide live music, and Hot Sisters will close the evening.
If you would like to explore the competition films between events, the festival video library is open from 10 to 19:00.
