From 1991 -2005 Head of Music TV at NRK in Oslo, Norway. For more than 25 years editor and moderator for a weekly classical music slot; Hovedscenen (The Main stage) presenting concerts, opera and dance. Responsible for national and international music co-productions.

- Educated as Dipl. Sound master he started his career within NRK as a Tonmeister/Music producer for Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra from 1982-1991, working closely with Mariss Jansons making CDs and radio/TV productions. For more than thirty years he has produced CDs with all the leading musicians, orchestras and ensembles in Norway. 
- Over more than 30 years as moderator in television, Erikstad has made longer interviews with personalities like Mariss Jansons, Placido Domingo, Kiri Te Kanawa, Bobby McFerrin, Tan Dun, Lang Lang, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Bryn Terfel, Anna Netrebko, Gustavo Dudamel etc. 
- Erikstad has made several documentaries and portraits; Rolf Wallin – music in new clothing, (2006), Vilde Frang – the violin is my voice, (2016), The sound of Leif Ove Andsnes, ( 2022), The Sound of Thine Thing Helseth (2023), and he has also been an active co-producer in several international TV productions.
