Maria Kivinen is responsible for international sales of Nordic fiction series, documentaries, remakes, kids & youth programmes, music & performing arts to all types of platforms including TV and VOD Worldwide at Yle, the Finnish Broadcasting Company from 2013 to the present moment.
In addition to this, Kivinen is RADA trained dramaturg and actress. Kivinen graduated from Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 2012 and before starting her career in television has performed in numerous stage performances throughout the UK and in 2013 wrote her debut play, The Idealist, produced at the Tara Arts Theatre London and Brighton Fringe Festival by her company at the time, Odd Stumble.
Kivinen has expertise of marketing and selling Finnish stories in all forms worldwide creatively and commercially and has built a network of clients from all major TV and VOD players around the world.
