Reiner Moritz has established himself as a leading international co-producer and distributor of premium programming with titles like David Attenborough´s „Life on Earth“, „The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nicklebby“, „100 Great Paintings“, Peter Brook´s „Mahabharata“ and Peter Stein´s much acclaimed „Faust“ to name but a few.
His credits as director include many documentaries in the music and arts field, including biographies of Shostakovich, Boulez, Zender and most recently Hans van Manen. He also directed „Anton Bruckner – The Making of a Giant“ for a theatrical release.
He provided publisher Droemer Knaur with an 863-page music dictionary.
His London based distribution company Poorhouse International deals with broadcasters all over the world and represents selected programming from mainly France, Germany, the UK and the US. Latest successes include „Iconic Couples“ and portraits of Zeffirelli, Rita Hayworth, Gary Cooper, Jack Lemmon and Anthony Hopkins. Reiner Moritz has received the Outstanding Achievement Award at Banff and at FIPA as well as The Prix Camera by the CNRS and is a Commandeur des Arts et Lettres.
