The Swedish Nightingale Jenny Lind knew everybody in the 19th century. She was adored by Chopin, helped Clara and Robert Schumann with their careers and inspired Hans Christian Andersen to write his classic stories. Baritone Thomas Hampson tells the dramatic story and today's celebrated singers and musicians, conducted by renowned Evan Rogister, performs live in playfully animated surroundings. The stages and streets of the 1840’s are recreated in colorful ways.
