71 - Beethoven Day on Arte

On Sunday, 6 June 2021, in a break with ARTE’s usual programming, ARTE TV and ARTE Concert took audiences on a European tour of all nine Beethoven symphonies. Between 12.55 and 22.30 the works were broadcast in chronological order – from nine venues of symbolic significance all over Europe: from the Kurfürstliches Schloss in Beethoven’s birth city of Bonn, the Lake Lugano, the Old Town Square in Prague, the Greek theatre at Delphi, from Dublin, Helsinki, Luxembourg, Straßburg and Vienna.
