A series of six documentary films features six of today’s top Czech conductors. The focus is on what is behind their success, what makes them exceptional and what their position in the artistic world is. Their stories show the specific work of the artist who shapes the orchestra and the sound of the works performed. Each episode is dedicated to one renowned conductor, and due to their diverse focus, the series captures different styles of music, genres and repertoire, from Baroque music, symphonic works and opera to contemporary music. This episode is dedicated to Petr Popelka, a young and internationally acclaimed conductor.
