56 - Currentzis conducts Beethoven in Delphi

In the ancient theatre of Delphi, against the backdrop of the ruins of the Temple of Apollo, the orchestra musicAeterna performs Ludwig van Beethoven's 7th Symphony under the baton of Teodor Currentzis, with a new choreography by Sasha Waltz and her company. Currentzis compares the Seventh with classical ancient architecture. Richard Wagner praised it the “apotheosis of dance". The fusion of the symphony with a dance performance convincingly corresponds to the character of the work.
