An epic narrative about love with no luck. The opera of Leoš Janáček for the National Theatre Brno has been staged by one of the most important opera creators of today, Robert Carsen. Featuring A. Poláčková as Míla and E. Casari and P. Sheffield splitting the role of the composer Živný. The Destiny is among those of Janáček’s operas which are not played so often. The reason is a very unusual libretto, the subject of which has been found and written by Janáček himself. He has been inspired by a fatal encounter in a spa town.
