Destiny - an opera by Leoš Janáček - performed by the opera ensemble of the Moravian-Silesian National Theatre in Ostrava. The Destiny is a unique opera among Janáček’s works with strong autobiographical elements. It is inspired by specific people, environments and situations from Janáček’s life. In the past, this work of Janáček has been baselessly marginalised, but recently it is becoming more and more prominent not only in the Czech Republic but also at major international opera stages.
