Due to international travel restrictions, the Icelandic soloist Víkingur Ólafsson played his part in Grieg's piano concerto from his hometown Reykjavik while conductor Edward Gardner and the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra was on stage 1500 kilometres away. This years pandemic restricted audience participation for Bergen International Festival, but a live stream was organized instead.
