38 - Gala Concert for the reopening of the State Opera

On January 5, 2020, exactly 132 years after its original opening, the building of the State Opera, one of the most beautiful theatre buildings in Europe, will be reopened after a complete reconstruction. A gala opera concert will take us through the history of the four domestic opera companies. Selected opera arias, ensembles and overtures symbolise the key moments – such as world or Czech premieres, extraordinary productions, renowned singers and conductors, guest performances by major opera theatres from abroad – of not only the history of this building but also of Czech history as such.
