Girl from the North Country is the only stage musical to feature songs by the great Bob Dylan – 28 of them. But it is not a juke box musical – the songs fit seamlessly into a play by Conor McPherson set in a guest house in Duluth Minnesota in 1934 as residents and guests arrive and depart and change each others' lives. McPherson also directs; the show was filmed at the Belasco Theatre on Broadway. Famous songs featured include Like A Rolling Stone; Hurricane; Jokerman; Idiot Wind amongst others.
