Largely unknown, the Nazis allowed some Jewish music labels to continue to exist after they came to power. The labels were smashed in 1938, but some recordings survived and were later found scattered all over the world. The film, which focuses on a concert by the Semer Ensemble, a group of international musicians founded especially for this music, tells the gripping story of the worldwide search for the recordings that were thought to be lost, as well as the moving fate of their creators.
