Joana Mallwitz is a conductor, a profession many still consider exclusively male. Over two years, the film follows her to the top of a major classical orchestra in Berlin. Despite all her success, the enormous pressure of the conducting profession is palpable, which, like a musical crescendo, steadily increases until her inaugural concert.
