81 - JOYCE DIDONATO: EDEN IN OLYMPIA

In the heart of ancient Olympia, birthplace of the Olympic games, Joyce DiDonato performs Eden. Eden is no ordinary concert: it invites the audience to reflect on the power and beauty of nature, but also to recognize our responsibility for our planet. DiDonato interprets pieces by Handel, Mahler, Charles Ives and more, together with the ensemble Il Pomo d’Oro under the baton on Maxim Emelyanychev as well as three international childrens’ choirs.
