The world’s greatest love story the other way round: by beginning the account from Juliet’s perspective, things are turned upside down. The Swedish choreographer Mats Ek stages Juliet & Romeo in Stockholm. Mats Ek’s take on this classic is both refreshingly funny and tearfully sad at the same time. The Royal Swedish Ballet excels in this dynamic choreography, which is paired to a contemporary aesthetic and set to a collection of music pieces by Tchaikovsky selected by the choreographer.
