90 - Martha Argerich, Herbert Blomstedt and the Lucerne Festival Orchestra play Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1 and Symphony No. 3.

At only seven years old, Martha Argerich made her debut with Beethoven’s First Piano Concerto and the piece has accompanied her throughout her career. Naturally, she has discovered new facets of this work over the decades and surely also did so when she performed this signature piece with the Lucerne Festival Orchestra and Herbert Blomstedt in a very special festival edition in August 2020. The LFO and Blomstedt also revealed Beethoven’s musical message of willpower in his “Sinfonia eroica”.
