Master Pieces is celebrating the timelessness of the classics of theatre. One of these is Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov. They live with their brother Andrey in the Russian Empire. A catastrophe descends upon the family when Andrey gambles away the siblings heritage and his wife Nathasha takes power over the family. Master Pieces compares the most influential stagings of the play and speaks among others to Peter Simonischek, who played Andrey in Peter Stein’s famous production (1984).
