21 - Maurizio Pollini: The Late Beethoven Piano Sonatas

On the occasion of the Beethoven Year 2020, one of the greatest pianists of our time performs Beethoven‘s late piano sonatas at the Herkulessaal in Munich. In his career spanning sixty years, Pollini has always made himself scarce in the media with the result that there are only very few live recordings. This concert performances is one of the rare occasions to witness Pollini exploiting the entire spectrum of expressive possibilities; his defiant, wild accentuations, joined by noble distance.
