71 - MUSIC EX MACHINA – AI IN CLASSICAL MUSIC

AI is currently finding its way into classical music. This documentary accompanies the opera production of “Chasing waterfalls”, co-composed by an AI from first recording tests to its premiere at Semperoper Dresden. It also shows Robbie Williams performing an AI remix of his and Beethoven’s music, sax player Asya Fateyeva interacting with a self-improvising piano, and a quantum computer at Plymouth University composing music completely by itself. We are on the threshold of a new era.
