38 - Opening Concert of the 125th Season of the Czech Philharmonic

The opening concert of the 2020/21 season dedicated to Václav Neumann, one hundred years after his birth on 29 September 2020. The piano part in Shostakovich’s Concerto No. 1 for piano, trumpet, and string orchestra was performed by, without exaggeration, one of the best pianists of today, Daniil Trifonov. The trumpet was played by the talented Austrian trumpeter Selina Ott. Furthermore, the Czech Philharmonic performed Dvořák's Symphony No. 8 conducted by its chief conductor Semyon Bychkov.
