The beginning of the season belonged to Antonín Dvořák in part because the beginnings of the Czech Philharmonic were associated with him personally. The orchestra was playing Dvořák programmes not only at the Rudolfinum, but also on its tour of Asia. At the opening concert we welcomed for the first time the outstanding young German-American violinist Augustin Hadelich.
