With Orphée aux enfers Jacques Offenbach turned the myth of “Orpheus and Euridyke” on its head. For the Salzburg Festival 2019 Barrie Kosky created a magically precise and witty staging with numerous extravagant costumes in a glittering opulent scenery and a literally devilish choreography.
