51 - ORPHEE & EURYDICE

Orpheus is a poet whose songs charm men, animals and stones. On her wedding day with the nymph Eurydice, her bride-to-be is bitten by a snake and dies suddenly. While Orpheus laments over her lost lover, Love arrives and allows him to go and look for Eurydice in the Underworld on one condition: once she has found her, Orpheus will not have to address her the slightest glance.
