Juno is jealous and devastates the earth. But this time her anger is groundless, currently Jupiter has no amorous adventure. A perfidious plan shall cure Juno. Platée, an ugly marsh nymph, is told that Jupiter loves her. He appears to Platée and commands a wedding celebration. Just before the wedding Juno bursts in and furiously tears the veil from Platée’s face. Spotting Platée’s ugliness she laughs at her own jealousy. Jupiter and the earth now has peace, only Platée sits humiliated...
