Juno is jealous and devastates the earth. But this time her anger is groundless, currently Jupiter has no amorous adventure. A perfidious plan shall cure Juno. Platée, an ugly marsh nymph, is told that Jupiter loves her. He appears to Platée and commands a wedding celebration.
