75 - Requiem(s)

Angelin Preljocaj's new creation, Requiem(s), gives flesh of emotions triggered by grief. This time, Angelin Preljocaj has drawn on his own history - the recent deaths of several of his close friends - with arias from the Mozart and Ligeti requiems, music by Bach and Messiaen, and the American metal band System of a Down in mind. Thanks to the nineteen performers, dance, like a procession of bodies, becomes ritual and celebration.
