The composer Hugo Alfvén is one of the great interpreters of 'the Scandinavian soul', inspired by folk music. Many orchestras and choir pieces have been devoted to dance and the magic of the brief summer months of the Nordics, its fair summer light and warm evening breezes. Conductors Kristjan Järvi and Sofia Ågren, dancers from the Royal Ballet, the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and almost a hundred young song and dance talents, gather together in Berwaldhallen to celebrate summer and light.
