Robert Schumann wrote a declaration of love for Clara into his early music. Schumann: A Love Story is a 30-minute dance film inspired by one of his most famous works, Fantasiestücke, Op. 12. Three dancers and a pianist bring to life Schumann’s two alter egos, the gentle Eusebius and the passionate Florestan, as they compete for Clara’s affection. Which of these two sides of Schumann’s personality will ultimately win her heart?
