2 - Schumann at Pier 2 – A Concert Film with Paavo Järvi and The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen)

Schumann as he has never been heard before! This and nothing else was the goal of Paavo Järvi and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen in the realization of their Schumann project; and according to the press and the audience there’s no doubt that they’ve achieved their aim. After their internationally celebrated Beethoven cycle, this truly unique orchestra and its extraordinary principal conductor have now elaborated their vision of the artistic wealth of the Schumann symphonies. As the press wrote, “the symphonies seem to be newly born out of the spirit of dance, out of motion itself. Järvi’s Schumann is above all played with tremendous excitement and enthusiasm”.
