Cathrine Winnes fills a gap in the history of music in this series about female composers, which has partly been hidden for the public. We follow their fight to take their music out of the chambers of their homes to a public arena. Some gave up their children, others divorced or composed in secret during the night. More than one published her music under her brothers’ names. We know them as Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel, Signe Lund, Lili Boulanger, Cecile Chaminade, Clara Schumann among others.
