A music documentary exploring the Nazis’ looting and systematic destruction of Jewish musical life during the 1930s and 1940s. The film follows conductor Sofia Winiarski as she prepares the production Stolen Music at Folkoperan in Stockholm, bringing back to life music by Jewish composers whom the Nazis sought to erase from musical history. In search of surviving works, Sofia travels to archives in Warsaw to uncover scores and fragments of texts.
