The public theater dance company, Noism Company Niigata, headed by director Jo Kanamori, calls the city of Niigata home. For the first time in his 16-year career, Kanamori announced that the theme of his next performance will be Niigata. Furthermore, Noism will be collaborating with the Taiko Performing Arts Ensemble KODO. With Noism pursuing the abstract art of dance and KODO championing the art of taiko, an attempt is made to bring two differing techniques together for the first time.
