77 - On the Trail of Forgotten Peoples

Forgotten Peoples is a 6-part cycle by a distinguished Estonian composer Veljo Tormis which were born due to his fascination with Finno-Ugric culture and folklore. Of these vast cultures that once populated the shores of the Baltic Sea only a handful of people have survived. Their language and culture are disappearing. Estonian top choir Collegium Musicale took it upon themselves to learn this long cycle and meet with all cultures represented in the piece to find out how they are coping.
