The opera tells of the resistance movement in which Sophie and Hans Scholl rebelled against the National Socialists with life and limb. It reflects the last hours of the Scholl siblings before their execution as a touching drama of the soul. The occasion for the production of this opera was the 100th birthday of Sophie Scholl in May 2021. With its new format, the Graphic Opera combines opera, film, animation and historical documents into a total work of art. It is a "story against forgetting".
