The music projects that vocalist Dasha is known for are largely situated within the pop genre. But Dasha is also sought-after by musical theater productions as a singer and actress – she received the Thálie award for her role as Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar, and the shows she puts on are a masterclass in stage performance. At the gala concert which marks the closing night of the Golden Prague International TV Festival, Dasha – who has been portraited in a documentary that will be screened for the first time as part of the festival – will appear together with the Hradec Králové Philharmonic orchestra and the Pajky Pajk band, with Martin Kumžák at the conductor’s stand.
To properly mark the occasion, the singer has invited friends of hers to appear as guest stars: singers Ondřej Ruml and Petr Kotvald and the Epoque Quartet (a genre-crossing string quartet). The program will also feature international hits in an inventive symphonic garb, and original duets specially arranged for this occasion.
