The opening of this year’s 58th Golden Prague International Television Festival will be performed by the legendary Czech violin virtuoso Václav Hudeček. The program of the Concert Gala will also introduce two top young violin players Jan Mráček and Josef Špaček who besides being friends to Václav Hudeček have both excelled at Hudeček’s Summer Violin Academy at Luhačovice. The violin artistry will shine through the compositions of A. Vivaldi, J. S. Bach or G. Ph. Telemann. For other works, Václav Hudeček will invite other great personalities of Czech music to share the stage: mezzo-soprano Štěpánka Pučálková and French horn player and conductor Radek Baborák. The Czech Sinfonietta Chamber Orchestra led by Baborák will accompany all soloists. The Gala will be hosted by Jiří Vejvoda.
The Golden Prague Gala Opening will be broadcasted live by Czech Television on channel CT Art.
