Krausberry Day

Krausberry Day

In 1984, Petar Introvič completely changed the line-up of his band, Bluesberry. The musicians who left the band formed another one very quickly. Led by Martin Kraus, they named it Krausberry, a bit out of spite. Over forty years of its existence, this blues-rock band rose to fame thanks to its ironic lyrics, the showmanship of its frontman and singer Martin Kraus (who is frequently called “Mick Jagger from Hanspaulka”), but primarily its recognisable sound and unmistakable energy. Krausberry gained wider popularity especially in the 1990s after releasing the records Na větvi and Šiksa a gádžo with hits like Můstek, Kořenová zelenina, and Vlakem na Kolín.

Concert footage recorded at the Jurkovič Open Air Festival in 2022 became a pretext to make an original portrayal of this group. The musicians leave their homes or work to meet in a van and head to a gig, as usual. Along the way, they tell stories from their years on the scene and describe the band’s history, old habits, and approach to music and live performances. One day in the best possible company.
