Special Screenings of the Golden Prague Festival III. / Radim Vizváry – I understand silence

Vizváry

On the world stage, Czech mime Radim Vizváry is recognized as one of the leading figures of pantomime theater. The turning point in his life was an encounter with Boris Hybner, who crowned Radim Vizváry as his designated successor and bestowed upon him the notional scepter of Czech pantomime.

The documentary was shot over the course of an entire theater season, retracing Vizváry’s personal journey to professional pantomime which has not been without its painful moments.  As an artist, Radim Vizváry may seek to command his craft with utter perfectionism but he is still torn by self-doubt and second thoughts.
