Golden Prague International Television Festival opens submissions for its 61st edition: showcasing the best in television arts worldwide.

Film submissions for the 61st edition of the Golden Prague International Television Festival is now open. This prestigious festival is scheduled to take place from 25 to 28 September 2024, in Prague and is regarded as one of the most significant events in the television arts industry.

Golden Prague is one of the oldest television festivals globally, attracting filmmakers and television professionals from around the world each year.

Programmes in the competition are categorised as follows:

  • Documentary programmes dedicated to music, dance, and theatre.
  • Recordings of stage work, including operas, operettas, musicals, dance, ballets, and theatre performances.
  • Recordings of concert performances, such as symphonic/orchestral performances, chamber music, and recitals.

In addition to individual programmes, the Golden Prague Festival also accepts individual parts of series or cycles for the competition if they can be judged on their own merit.

Winners receive prestigious prizes, including the Grand Prix Golden Prague, considered one of the most significant awards in the television arts industry.

The Golden Prague International Television Festival serves as a vital platform for filmmakers and television content creators worldwide, allowing them to showcase their work and gain recognition for their creative efforts.
