The full-day programme of the Golden Day will celebrate the successful TV contest StarDance and also the 115th birthday of the music composer Jaroslav Ježek. The visitors will be able to enjoy not only music and dance performances but also the well-known personalities of children’s channel ČT :D. The whole day will be hosted by the well-known host Daniela Písařovicová - also a participant of the StarDance contest. Together with Marek Zelinka, she will introduce many famous personalities and dancers who have participated in the contest in the previous years and who will not only please the spectators by dancing but hopefully also by teaching them something new.
The climax of the programme will be a homage to and a reminiscence of the legendary music composer Jaroslav Ježek performed by Ondřej Ruml and the Matej Benko Quintet. On this day, it will be exactly 115 years since the birth of Jaroslav Ježek. In the evening, we will therefore hear the newly interpreted songs of the Liberated Theatre from the album “Ondřej Ruml sings Ježek, Voskovec and Werich” which has been very warmly received both by the critique and the public and has received a Golden Record award.
Along with the very attractive programme, many other activities will be ready on site: booths of partner organisations, a photo booth, artistic workshops for children and a Czech TV gift shop where you can even buy a “Zlatý bludišták” (“The Golden Mazer”, toy award for the the TV quiz show “the Maze”).

During the Golden Day of the Golden Prague Festival, it will be possible to take a peek into the backstage of the historical building of the National Theatre. Guided tours of the historical building of the National Theatre are a unique experience. The start times are 10:00, 10:30, 11:00 and 11:30.
