Every year, the Golden Prague Festival showcases the finest music and dance programmes from around the globe, and behind the scenes, a prestigious panel of five experts evaluates the festival entries. Four of them are from abroad, while one represents the Czech Republic. Meet this year's Golden Prague jury!
The chairman of this esteemed jury for the 2024 edition is none other than the renowned Norwegian music producer, music journalist and Vice President of the IMZ, Arild Erikstad. From 1991 to 2005, Erikstad held the position of Head of Music TV at NRK in Oslo, where he was responsible for national and international music co-productions. Furthermore, Erikstad held the position of Executive Producer/Executive International Relations TV Music, where he played a pivotal role in overseeing music productions and fostering international partnerships. Throughout his career, Erikstad was a member of important festival juries such as Rose d'Or, Prix Italia, and CineDance festival, showcasing his expertise and influence in the global music and media landscape.
Joining Erikstad are four distinguished figures from across Europe, each bringing their unique expertise to the table. Maria Kivinen, Sales Manager of Finland's television network YLE, Bernd Hellthaler, representing the German production company EuroArts, Barbara Palier, who is responsible for legal affairs of international licensing and for the area of audio-visual production at the Austrian VBW, and the last but not least a representative from the host nation, Jiří Vejvoda, a prolific radio and television author, journalist, presenter, and manager.
